We typically celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion monthly on the first Sunday of the month during Sunday Morning Worship and at other special times throughout the year. Sometimes Communion is offered at retreats, small group gatherings, weddings, and other services.
The table of Holy Communion is Christ’s table, not the table of The United Methodist Church or of White Plains UMC. It is open to all regardless of age or church membership. The table is open to anyone who seeks to respond to Christ’s love and seeks to lead a new life of peace and love.
We serve communion through intinction, meaning the server will tear off and hand you a piece of bread, you may dip it in the cup, and then consume it. Altar Rails are available for prayer after communion at all our services.
We offer an gluten-free, vegan, top-8-allergen-free communion station so that all, regardless of dietary need or preference, can come to the table.
