As we consider The People of God in Daily Life, we are guided by the books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Songs/Solomon which are the books of the Bible known as Wisdom Literature. These scriptures focus on the practical choices we make in life and the consequences that flow from these choices. These writings teach us the enormous value of ordinary life and underscore for us that our with-God life develops first and foremost in the middle of everyday tasks and everyday relationships, in our families, in our work, and in our play.
