As Lead Pastor, Kelly Lyn tends to the work of ordering the life of the church, partnering with lay leadership through discernment, casting, and aligning our vision and mission for ministry, worship, service, and providing a healthy and balanced workplace for ministry team members. She does this work through deep listening, prayer, study, preaching, teaching, and engaging in relationships that empower others.
Kelly Lyn returned to us as lead pastor in July 2022 after serving as Senior Pastor at Benson Memorial UMC in Raleigh for eight years. Kelly Lyn served as Pastor of Membership Care and Evangelism at White Plains from 2004-2011. Her other pastoral appointments in North Carolina include Holly Springs UMC, Warsaw UMC, and St. Paul UMC in Goldsboro.
Kelly Lyn shares her treehouse home with a very photogenic border collie/german shepherd mix named Samuel and a family of barred owls that live just off the deck. She loves to read, travel, and hike and can be found most Fridays (her sabbath day) on a trail somewhere.
