Get Involved in Music Ministries
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir is for any adult singer or young adult singers wishing to participate in music leadership for our English-Speaking Worship Service. Typically the Chancel Choir gives two concerts a year as well. Music reading is helpful but not required, as long as the singer can match pitch and blend into the section. Handbells
Wesley Chancel Ringers, meet in the Sanctuary and prepare the music for worship throughout the calendar church year. They rehearse on Thursday nights. They generally go on hiatus for June, July, and August and resume regular rehearsals in September. Contact Bert Fox music@wpumc.com for more information.
Praise Music
The WPUMC Praise Team is a group of vocalists and instrumentalists who help to provide music for our English-Speaking Worship Service. Contact Bert Fox music@wpumc.com for more information.
Audio-Visual Team
This team consists of individuals with training and experience pertaining to the audio-visual aspects of our worship service such as sound, recording, lighting, and PowerPoint. This team assists with Sunday morning worship service and also special events held in the CLC and sanctuary. Please email avteam@wpumc.com if you want to join the team or if you have questions.
Meet Bert, our Director of Traditional Music!
Bert Fox has been at WPUMC since August 1989. He has served as Children’s Choir Director, Children’s Hand Bell Director, Youth Choir Accompanist, Chancel Choir Accompanist, Youth Choir Director, and Adult Handbell Choir Director. Bert also has served as cymbal player, triangle player, and Organ Shutter holder and currently serves as the Director of Traditional Music. He also provides service music for special services during the year. Bert currently lives in Cary, NC with his wife, Lisa.
