Every believer is on a lifelong journey of spiritual growth. Because we believe that we never stop developing our discipleship, White Plains offers an ever-growing variety of small group encounters for adults.
Adult Sunday School Classes
White Plains offers adult Sunday School classes for everyone no matter where you are in your walk with Christ or in life. We have groups for younger parents, empty nesters, those enjoying their retirement years, and every stage in between. Classes also vary from meeting in-person on Sunday mornings, to off-camps, and even virtually. Learn more about all of our classes HERE.
Small Groups and Fellowship Opportunities
There are so many opportunities to connect in fellowship at White Plains! We offer intimate small groups that meet both in-person and virtually as well as larger fellowship opportunities. Learn more HERE.
Classes and Studies
Throughout the year we often offer several churchwide studies, as well as intimate small group studies. Whether you love to learn from video series provided through our Amplify streaming service alone or in a group, or enjoy curling up with a good book and following up with one of our several book clubs – we have opportunities for you to grow in your faith in every way! Learn more about our current classes and studies HERE. You do not have to be a White Plains UMC member to join a study. We welcome everyone. Child care is available for all classes. Scholarships are available upon request.
Meet Rob, our Pastor of Invitation and Engagement!
Rob has been a member of White Plains since 1985. He and his wife Cheryl met as participants in the college-age class. Rob and Cheryl have a daughter Victoria born in 2001. After several years of volunteering with the youth, Rob accepted the position of Director of Youth Ministries in 1998. Rob’s college experience includes the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduate work specializing in youth ministry at Pfeiffer University. In 2008 Rob received his Professional Certification in Youth Ministry through the General Board of Discipleship of the United Methodist Church. In 2015 Rob became a Licensed Local Pastor and is appointed to White Plains as the Pastor of Invitation and Engagement. In his spare time, Rob loves playing guitar, reading, and travel.
