The Purpose of UMM is stated as …a creative, supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually, and to seek daily his will.In the process, we want to become “Servant Leaders” for Him in our daily walk. ALL adult male members of the United Methodist Church are UMM members. No further action, such as signing up or paying dues is required. You are requested to be in constant personal prayer for the spiritual well-being of the men of this congregation. In your walk seek out and speak to your brethren, who are in need, to assist them in their walk. Through this action, you will be blessed and your rewards will surprise even you.
The UMM offers the following programs for the spiritual growth of the men at White Plains:
- Saturday morning Fellowship Breakfasts scheduled throughout the year — second Saturday of the month at 8:30 am. These breakfasts are open to the community — all men, women, and children are invited.
- Charter sponsor of Scout Troop 210 and Cub Pack 120.
- Support and recognition of Scouting leaders.
- Encourage UMM members to support the larger UMM organization through EMS.
- Annual fundraising Fish Fry project to support Outreach Missions.
- Assist the WPUMC Trustees with the care and maintenance of the grounds and buildings for which we are stewards.
- Organize and sponsor spiritual growth and enrichment opportunities for the WPUMC UMM.
