Welcoming Wellness – Empowering Mental Health Caregivers

Welcoming Wellness is a mental health ministry for the church and the entire community. This initiative is designed to provide education and helpful resources for caregivers of adolescents and adults experiencing mental health issues. Professionals are brought in monthly to provide in-person presentations. These presentations are also live-streamed on Zoom as a Webinar and are available later on demand from our website. The Amen Effect

Rally Day, September 20 Traditional worship service. Join us for Rally Day featuring a church-wide lunch and Pops Concert. We hope to see you at worship at 9 or 11 am. Everyone is invited to a fellowship lunch in the CLC at 12:15pm. The lunch will be wraps and sandwiches from Jason’s Deli. Immediately after lunch, we will enjoy a Pops Concert led by members of our Music Teams. We kick off a new sermon series today The Amen Effect. Hebrews 13:1-2,20-21 Revelation 7:9-12

Judgement of the Nations

Sunday, September 13 Traditional worship service. This Sunday we continue our Summer Sermon Series, “Short Stories by Jesus” by looking at the parable of “Judgement of the Nations”.  Join us in person or online this Sunday for worship! Matthew 25:31-46

We are committed to best practices to protect children, youth, and vulnerable adults. All paid staff and volunteers in our ministries are screened and trained on how to create atmospheres where all of God’s children can be safe and welcome.

Stephen Ministers are here for you in your time of need

Are you overwhelmed, anxious, or uncertain? Have you experienced loss? Are you struggling to keep a positive outlook after a Pandemic year? Are you wrestling with your faith?

Stephen Ministers in particular walk alongside someone during their time of emotional, physical, or spiritual need, listening to, praying for, and loving that person along the way, providing in-depth one-on-one, confidential care.

The next monthly Fellowship breakfast and program sponsored by the United Methodist Men is Saturday, October 10 at 8:30am in the Chapel beginning with a light breakfast.  Don’t forget that this isn’t just an event for men – everyone is invited! The program will be on the Red Wolf Recovery Program initiated in NC in the late 1980s.  Red wolves were declared extinct in the wild in 1980.  The eastern NC coastal counties are the only place in the world…
