This is how we live that mission:
We are the hands and feet of the Triune God, drawing youth into fellowship and fostering in them a closer relationship with Jesus Christ as lived out through worship, study, service, prayer and outreach.
At White Plains UMC we are committed to involving youth in the life of the church and providing them with ways to live out their faith. Youth Ministry does not exist on an island or to entertain the youth - it is an integral part of the whole church and youth are given many opportunities to lead and understand what a life of discipleship means as part of the body of Christ - the church.

We are committed to these core values - to be:
Christ Centered, Youth Led, Relationship Based
We are constantly asking - "does this event or program live up to these values?" Being a youth-led ministry demands a lot out of the youth and also a lot out of our adult volunteers and parents. But when we see how Christ is shown and witness the relationships that last a lifetime and beyond we know it is what we're called to do.

In our daily lives and at all our meetings and events we commit to:
Respect God, Respect God's Word, Respect Others, and Respect Yourself.
This is simply how we conduct ourselves. Youth Ministry is committed to being a safe place - we have a lot of fun and do some crazy things but never at the expense of these principles.
Themes:
Every year we have a yearlong theme that guides our programing. Our youth officers plan our weekly meetings and retreats based on these themes.
Our 2011-2012 Theme is "Je-sus (verb) - it's what you do!"
