Choir

The Chancel Choir is for any adult singer (young adults are welcome!) wishing to participate in music leadership for the 11:00 worship services and other services during the year. Typically the Chancel Choir gives two concerts a year as well. Music reading is helpful but not required, as long as the singer can match pitch and blend into the section. This ensemble rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:00 p.m.  They are led by Director of Music and the Arts, Rusty McKinney, and accompanied by Bert Fox, piano, and Mac Pannill, organ.  The Chancel Choir takes a break for the month of July and follows a modified rehearsal schedule for the month of August.  The regular rehearsal and worship schedule resumes in September. 
 

Sanctuary Orchestra

The Sanctuary Orchestra assists in leading worship regularly for the 11:00 a.m. worship service as well as for some special services and concerts thoughout the year.  This ensemble rehearses on Sundays from 4:00-5:30 p.m.  Rusty McKinney is the conductor, assisted by Bert Fox and Mac Pannill. Any proficient instrumentalist (adult or youth) is welcome to participate in this ensemble.  The Sanctuary Orchestra takes a break during the summer with regular rehearsals resuming in August.
 
 

Hand Bells

Wesley Chancel Ringers, directed by Rusty McKinney, meet in the Sanctuary, and prepare music for worship for the 8:20 and 11:00 a.m. traditional services, and other special services planned throughout the calendar church year. They rehearse on Thursdays from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. They generally go on hiatus for June, July, and August and resume regular rehearsals in September.
 
 

Praise Music          

The WPUMC Praise Team is a group of vocalists and instrumentalists who, along with the AV Team,  lead worship for the 9:45 a.m. Contemporary Service.  This group rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the CLC, and is under the direction of Rusty McKinney who is assisted by Jamie Montoya.

Audio-Visual Team                                                                  

This team consists of individuals with training/experience pertaining to the audio-visual aspects of our worship such as sound, recording, lighting, and power point.  This teams assists with each Sunday morning worship service and also special events held in the CLC and sanctuary.  This group is coordinated by George Smit and Rusty McKinney.
