Adult Ministry

Every believer is on a lifelong journey of spiritual growth. Because we believe that we never stop developing our discipleship, White Plains offers an ever-growing variety of small group encounters for adults. United Methodist Women, United Methodist Men, and adult Sunday School classes top the list. 

Beyond these essentials, we also offer small group encounters for a more abundant life. These include the intensive Christian Believer and Jesus in the Gospels studies, short and long-term Bible studies, and many more opportunities for spiritual growth.  We are always open to suggestions for studies. 

You may sign up for a study by: (1) signing up in the notebook in the Sanctuary lobby at the Hospitality Desk; (2) sign up in the notebook in the Carpenter's Shop; (3) sign up in the notebook in the Adult Ministries office; (4) sending an email to adults(at)wpumc.org; or on the Adult Ministry Studies page.    You do not have to be a White Plains UMC member to join a study.  We welcome everyone.  Child care is available for all classes.  Limited scholarships are available upon request.
