We are committed to living out these kingdom values as evidence of God's presence in us:
TRANSFORMING GRACE - discovering, accepting and celebrating the good news of God's love revealed in Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus gave his life that we might be saved
and he was full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)
By grace we mean the undeserved, unmerited and loving action of God through which we are restored to proper relationship. We assert that God's grace is manifest in all creation and we seek to be transformed by grace.
"Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen." (2 Peter 3:18)
WORSHIPFUL LIVING - embracing and exalting our Creator so that God's presence saturates our lives and relationships.
Jesus lived a life fully pleasing to God.
We are growing in holiness as we are spiritually formed through the practices of being centered in the Bible as God's word, constant prayer and following the Spirit's leading in all that we are and all that we do.
"I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God which is your spiritual worship." (Romans 12:1)
ACCOUNTABLE DISCIPLESHIP - becoming more like Christ and encouraging one another as we strive to be intentionally obedient to God's calling on our lives, proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19)
Jesus called ordinary people with various gifts and abilities
and equipped them as they ministered together.
We encourage and provide opportunities for all those connected to our community of faith to be engaged in groups of spiritual formation and accountability. We strive to build one another up in love-to be disciples who make disciples-to share in the transformation of the world and to reach the hurting and the lost.
"Therefore encourage one another and build up each other,
as indeed you are doing." (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
GROWING UNITY - honoring the Body of Christ through forgiveness, reconciliation and trust.
Jesus gives us our model for authentic living
and managing conflict in Matthew 18.
We are called to bring out the best and have confidence in one another. As we acknowledge our different gifts we are refreshed and encouraged by our love for one another and empowered to accomplish Christ's ministry as a team.
"I beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." (Ephesians 4:1-3)
JOYFUL GENEROSITY - exercising God's gifts in each of us in response to God's great gift of life and salvation.
Jesus demonstrated in his life and teaching
that it is more blessed to give than to receive. (Acts 20:35 c)
We strive to be good stewards of our God given resources. Out of great gratitude we offer our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness with glad and generous hearts.
"Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work." (2 Corinthians 9:7-8)
SACRIFICIAL SERVICE - equipping and empowering disciples for the fulfillment of God's work on earth.
Jesus "came not to be served but to serve,
and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mt 20:28)
Jesus' message and ministry were one.
We strive to follow Jesus' model of sharing the gospel with the world in word and deed no matter the cost. With loving compassion we inspire one another to share in missional living.
"The gifts he gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets,
some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ."
(Ephesians 4:11-12)
